I think it really goes without saying that direst e-mailing and newsletter is a POWERFUL MARKETING TOOL. Any promotions that you send to your customers and subscribers in the future will be that much more successful because with your newsletter, you will have established your credibility, - developed a reputation as an industry expert, - cultivated a relationship with your subscribers, - inspired customer loyalty, - and maintained regular contact. 5.Promoting your site with 'Reciprocal Links'

Using 'reciprocal links' or exchanging links with other site owners is probably the best and fastest way to improve your traffic.

When looking for people to exchange links with, try to find quality sites that relate to yours in some way. The best way to do that is to use directories like Yahoo or The Open Directory Project (Both places review all sites submitted to them making sure they are high quality). Browse through categories that relate to your site and build a list of web pages you would like to exchange links with.

When the list is made, you need to convince each site to link to you. The best way to do that is to link to their site first, then send an email asking them to do the same for your site.

Remember that the more personal the email, the better your chances of getting a link back. Here is an example letter:

Hi (site owner's name),

I am the webmaster at (your site). After visiting (site name), I was very impressed and would like to form a partnership.

We have similar content and I feel that my site's visitors will be very interested in your (anything interesting). I've put a link to (site name) on my starting page located at: http://www.yoursite.com I you are interested, I suggest linking to (your site) using this information:
